Finance Admin Officer

Since 1960, Save the Children Sweden has been operational in the Middle East and North Africa region. Our main focus of work is on children’s rights to education and protection. We give direct support to more than 60 000 children and many more through advocacy and policy initiatives. Whereas our regional office is in Beirut, we have country  offices and activities in several countries in the region. SCS is currently seeking:

Consultant: Finance Admin Officer
Duty Station: SCS- Gaza office
Duration: Short term, Three months contract (up to 31st January, 2011). Possibilities of renewal.

Reporting to: Gaza Area Impact Manager (AIM)

Purpose
The objective of this position is to provide overall day-to-day financial management responsibility for the SCS’ Family Center project operations in oPt and follow up on admin issues with the admin department. Do regular and consistent coordination with the SCS Finance Manager in Ramallah and the Project Manager. The position is based in the Gaza City.

Period of Performance
The work will take place from 1st of November to 31st of January 2011 in the Gaza Strip.
