NRC seeks:
Finance and Administration Coordinator
Gaza Strip
 
Overall responsibility:
Under the supervision of the Area Manager, the position holder will be responsible for all finance, logistical and HR support services to the NRC Gaza programme.
 
Qualifications and Experience
All applicants must have excellent English language skills and extensive proven experience of managing financial matters at a senior level in an international organisation.
 
Main Duties:
Finance
Ensure that NRC’s rules regulations, practices and standards are adhered to;
Be responsible for recording of cash and bank transactions of NRC activities;
Be responsible for monthly bank and cash reconciliation;
Assist in preparing Cash forecasts for the Project Summary reports, prepare cash flow forecasts and requests for transfer of funds from Jerusalem office;
Be responsible for financial monitoring of Implementing Partners, Lawyers and other contracts and payments;
When required liaison with Auditors and Local Authorities;
Supervise the Logistics Officer ensuring the ToR is adhered.
 
Administration
Be always updated on NRC contractual obligations and ensure that NRC is complying with commitments for upkeep and maintenance of rented premises;
Ensuring electronic and hardcopy archives are maintained in Gaza as per NRC Filing instructions.

HR
Be the focal point for all recruitment processes in Gaza;
Be responsible for Introduction of new staff including introduction in NRC’s policies (Terms of Employment, Code of Conduct, Anti Corruption Guideline) and NRC Basic Training Package;
Monitor local staff issues, including contracts, job descriptions, salary scales, terms of employment and leave entitlements;
Ensure implementation of NRC standard personnel policy guidelines for national staff in Gaza.
 
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
-Qualified holder of a relevant higher level relevant certification with a minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar position.
-Experience working for an international organisation;
-Experience of European donor funded projects;
-Experience in electronic accounting system;
-Experience of financial budgeting and international organisation procurement procedures;
-Ability to work under pressure, independently, with limited supervision and extra hours;
-Able to work well in a team;
-Extremely strong organisational and logistical skills;
-Excellent command of English and Arabic both written and orally.

 
Start date:1st May 2011
Contract period:Contract till end February 2012 with possible extension
Salary/benefits:According to NRC’s general directions pay commessurate with experience and  benefits provided.
