Job Description
CHF microfinance program-Ryada-that operates in the Palestinian Territories seeks to hire a Finance Manager in its office in Ramallah City

Summary :
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing Ryada’s financial risk management, financial accounting and controls, financial budgeting, planning, and reporting a well as managing relations with banks, investor, and regulators. Finance Manager is a member of the management team and as such the Finance Manager participates in making decisions on material issues, assists in strategic planning and in developing policies and procedures as well as share in responsibility for the overall performance and activities of Ryada

Qualifications :
-A bachelor’s degree in accounting, a master’s degree is a plus.
-At least 5 years of relevant experience
-Experience in working with US GAAP and IFRS.
-Demonstrated abilities in treasury management, budget preparation and staff management.
-Thorough understanding of operational and financial risk of a financial institution.
-Strong interpersonal analytical and organizational skills.
-Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
-Experience with financial projections required. Knowledge of Microfin is preferred.
-Knowledge of Arabic is required Verbal and written fluency in English required.
-Understanding of banking and/or microfinance strongly desired.

Responsibilities:
-Provide leadership and strategic direction of RYADA’s Finance and Accounting Department,
-Manage and monitor financial risks (forex, maturity/liquidity, interest rate), liquidity, cash flow, investments, grants, and liabilities.
-Assist in managing operational, legal, and lending risk monitoring potential impact on the program’s financial position.
-Develop financial objectives, perform financial planning, and oversee the preparation of financial statements.
-Develop budgets, financial projections and financial objectives for RYADA and monitor performance
against targets.
-Establish and maintain accurate financial, accounting systems and controls according to CHF policies, donor regulations, audit requirements, local standards and IFRS.
-Authorize monthly and end-of-year financial adjustments .
-Participate in the Asset and Liabilities (ALCO) Management Committee
-Oversee the interaction between the accounting and loan tracking systems including reconciliation of financial and loan tracking data and bank statements.
-Ensure adherence to social security, benefits laws and tax requirements.
-Supervise finance, accounting, staff in Head Office; including oversee the hiring and training of staff
in these positions.
-Manage all operational aspects with bank partners and investors.
-Participate in the institutional strategic planning process including the business plan development and updating.
