FINANCE Officer

Finance Officer DanChurchAid (DCA) was established in 1922, DanChurchAid (DCA) is today one of the major Danish humanitarian non governmental organisations working with local partners, international networks , churches and non-religious civil organisations to assist the poorest of the poor. DCA has offices in 12 countries, projects worldwide and about 150 staff in HQ in Copenhagen. DCA has an office in Ramallah and the selected candidate shall be stationed there with the requirement of travelling across the West Bank and East Jerusalem. DanChurchAid (DCA) invites applications for a position as Finance Officer at our office in Ramallah.
Main tasks:
• Quality control of partner project budgets and reports.
• Financial monitoring of projects and programs in cooperation with Program Officers,incl. monitoring visits.
• Quality assurance and follow up on overall budgets.
• Overview and coordination of development and relief project budgets.
• Assessment of financial and administrative capacity of partners, assist in identifying training needs and development potential.
• Undertake financial capacity training of partners.
• Participation in internal project approval procedures.
• Implementation of donor’s financial requirements in project administration.
Key qualifications:
• University Degree in finance (or related field).
• Minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
• Experienced in working with non-governmental organizations (partners) with financial planning and monitoring of development and relief projects.
• Familiar with participatory methods.
• Excellent command of English.
• Excellent computer skills.
• A driving license
