Financial Analyst

The Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion (EDIP) project, implemented by CARANA Corporation, is a 3-year, USAID funded project devoted to privatesector development in the West Bank. The EDIP project is seeking to fill the position of
Scope of Work (SOW):
• Prepare and analyze firm level financial documents (balance sheets & cash flows) in
order to develop private-sector “business partnerships”.
• Assist in the preparation of partnership applications for assistance and when
appropriate, assist with the preparation of grants, contracts, subawards and SOWs fo technical assistance to the targeted firms.
• Review on-line applications and maintain the applications database.
• Maintaining application files.
• Review and monitor partnership accounting procedures, financial position and internal controls.
• As needed, make recommendations and provide instructions and guidance to recipients to ensure that their accounting and financial systems and internal controls are in compliance with EDIP Project and USAID requirements.
• Assist Palestinian partners with preparing credit applications in order to obtain formal
bank loans.
• Maintain professional relation with the key banks that offer the potential to finance SME projects, and develop bank policy expertise in order to assist partners in understanding the banking procedures.
• Organize information seminars and disseminate information through presentations to
the partnership community.
• Provide guidance to recipient organizations on USAID audit requirements for subawards.
• Review subaward financial reports and supporting documents provided by recipients,
and ensure that the financial information provided is accurate, complete, verifiable, and reliable, in accordance with the subaward agreement, and meets the project’s financial reporting requirements.
Required Qualification:
• Degree in Finance, Business Administration or relevant field.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Good analytical and reporting skills.
