Financial officer ( part time %50 )

The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (RLS) is a German political foundation founded in 1990 as a provider of civic education and a center for progressive social research. RLS cooperates with partners striving for social justice around the world to strengthen public participation and development. RLS is affiliated with the German Left Party. RLS Regional Office Palestine (www.rosaluxemburg.ps) is based in Ramallah – Palestine. It is cooperating with partner organizations in Palestine and in Jordan, as well as it is implementing its own activities.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

-Participate in developing, implementing and monitoring financial operations, procedures and systems
of RLS
-Participating in planning and controlling budgets and financial reports related to measures implemented
within the program of RLS
-Supporting RLS in administrative tasks

Professional and personal requirements:

-Minimum of BA degree in financial administration, accounting, business administration
-Minimum of 5 years professional experience in financial management, book keeping and accounting,
-Sharing the understandings of RLS
-Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English; German is an asset
-Convenience in working in an international setting
-Highly motivated, self-sufficient, well-organized
Starting date for this position is 15. of April 2018 or as soon as possible. We do offer a competitive local Palestinian contract.
