Food Security and Livelihood Project Officer Assistant
For a period of 5 months
The Candidate will:
-Supervise the daily field activities in coordination with the local partners.
-Provide technical information/assistance for activities implementation and support to the project’s team.
-Assist Project Officer and Head of Project by enforcing quality control, facilitating field technical works, identifying and reporting challenges.
-Ensure field work complies with project working plan and timeframe.
-Check daily the attendance of beneficiaries (workers) and reports to Head of Project on a daily basis.
-Check daily the quality of the material procured by private partners.
-Follow the delivery chain and spot checks the sources of material delivered.
-Identify and inform the Head of Project of any problems or constraints in the field.
-Propose solutions and improvements concerning project progress.
-Assist in preparing and updating workers file for each working category.
-Prepare attendance sheet for all workers (skilled and unskilled).
-Assist in review and verify skilled and unskilled application.
-Assist in the preparation of time schedules and HH survey tools.
-Assist in preparing monitoring plans and implementation procedures for each activity.
-Work with other project staff to avoid duplication, establish a database of beneficiaries, and data entry in support of field monitoring as required.
-Perform additional tasks that may be requested from the employee due to the nature of the project and to its timeframe.
-monitor the data collection in the field
-Report field activities daily to the Head of Project (material delivered, work achieved, beneficiaries’ attendance, obstacles and constraints.
Profile of the Candidate:
-Bachelor degree in Agriculture, International Development, Education, Political Science or International Relations
-Minimum 3 years proven relevant field experience in food security context in the Gaza Strip.
-Fluency in English (spoken and written) required; Arabic will be considered an asset.
-Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
-Capacity to apply organizational rules and procedures.
-Capacity to treating information confidentially.
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
-Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
-Fully proficient in MS-Office and Internet.
