The Unlimited friends Association (UFA) for Community Development is a social, developmental, and charitable institution. Its idea originated in 2000, driven by a sense of social, educational, and developmental responsibility toward the Palestinian family. After numerous community activities carried out by the organization through its own efforts in the social and family field, the concept of the institution was expanded and developed until it was officially recognized in 2003 under the provisions of the Charitable Societies and Civil Institutions Law No. (1) of 2000 and its executive regulations.
Position: Food Security and Livelihoods Program Coordinator
Duration: Six months, renewable

Job Summary:
The main responsibility of the Food Security and Livelihoods Program Coordinator is to ensure that the project runs smoothly on time, and within budget. Duties generally include planning specific parts of projects, monitoring their progress, coordinating meetings, and supervising project team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning:
- Contribute to the formulation and continuous improvement of the Association's food security and livelihoods program strategies, business plans, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and evaluate the operational effectiveness of new and ongoing food security and livelihoods projects.
- Lead the development of annual comprehensive business plans that address and provide solutions to strategic food security and livelihoods issues affecting the organization.
- Write concept notes, full proposals, mid-term reports, final grant reports, and any other documentation for grants and contracts under the strategic direction of the Professional Development Program or Program Coordinator. This includes primary research, stakeholder analysis, data collection and analysis, consultations, narrative development, budget development, and producing all associated documentation at a high level according to donor requirements.
Project Implementation and Supervision:
- Responsible for food security and livelihoods projects, including day-to-day management of site activities and volunteers.
- Oversee site tracking and daily follow-up in cooperation with project staff.
- Develop and monitor the distribution plan, ensuring communication with targeted beneficiaries about distribution locations and dates.
- Attend distribution activities and contribute to post-distribution assessments.
- Report on the distribution process.
- Follow up with social volunteers in the field and monitor their monthly reports.
- Contribute to organizing project evaluation sessions, including focus groups and individual interviews.
- Assist in project introduction sessions coordination.
- Contribute to data collection for monitoring and evaluation.
- Assist in beneficiary satisfaction survey data collection.
- Assist in entering field-collected data into Kobo or complaint databases.
- Support the complaint reception officer in recording and processing complaints and developing monthly reports.
- Provide technical support for the direct implementation of project activities, such as training volunteers and distribution teams responsible for distributing food materials to beneficiaries.
- In coordination with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and the Food Security and Livelihoods Consultant, contribute to data collection related to monitoring the nutritional status of targeted households.
- Ensure the completion of activities within the specified time frame, meeting quality standards, within budget, and according to the monthly plan, while reporting any challenges faced by the team to the project manager.
- Conduct regular field visits to provide guidance/technical support and identify issues requiring timely action and support at various levels.
- Identify challenges or difficulties that may arise during project implementation and inform the project manager, contributing to their resolution.
- Provide input into monthly activity reports, stock consumption, and distribution plans, with support from the project manager, and develop and implement quarterly, monthly, and weekly activity plans to achieve expected results. This includes planning activities, budgets, and procurement.
- Hold meetings with stakeholders, including local councils and other organizations serving food security and livelihoods, to understand their priorities, introduce them to the project's objectives, and engage them in the process.
- Organize needs assessment sessions to study labor market and stakeholder needs.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor the progress of the project, ensuring the preparation of progress reports and contributing to monitoring and evaluation efforts, determining the impact of implemented programs and projects.
- Ensure proper documentation of the project is maintained in a timely manner and is easily accessible.
- Support the MEAL team in implementing the monitoring and evaluation system to track project progress, capture impact, and make necessary adjustments to work plans when required.
- Possess organizational skills, task delegation, and time management.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with various stakeholders.
- Be familiar with risk management systems and quality assurance monitoring.
Legal and Compliance:
- Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with the Association’s policies and regulations.
Team Management:
- Strengthen collaborative relationships within the association and with key external partners and organizations to enhance the quality of thinking and ideas applied to stakeholder needs.
- Provide leadership and administrative expertise to support and guide various staff members.
Representation and Collaboration:
- Represent the organization in meetings organized by international development and humanitarian organizations in the country.
- Participate in technical evaluation committees for tenders and bids related to the employee’s area of work or any other committees requested by the executive management of the association.
- Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities required by the nature of the work or as requested by the executive director.
Performance Indicators for Evaluating Results:
- Achieve all indicators of the program’s strategic plan and execution plan, including:
- Financial indicators: such as the value of expenditures as planned, grant volume, etc.
- Program impact indicators as stated in the program document.
- Addressing internal and external audit observations.
- Number and quality of successfully implemented initiatives and development ideas for the program.
- Number of project proposals submitted to the projects and fundraising department for donors.
- Number of media materials (success stories, media news, etc.) published about the program’s interventions on the organization’s platforms.
- Accuracy of program project data in the computerized management system and the timely closing of projects.
- Timely submission of donor reports and donor satisfaction with the quality of executed projects and reports, leading to continued support for the organization.
- Adherence to the association’s policies and respect for communication channels within the organization.
- Contribution to building and developing the skills of the team under their management.

Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in applied or theoretical sciences, humanities, economics, or sociology.
- At least 3 years of experience in the field.
- Ability to work in challenging conditions and under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner.
- Experience using project management software such as MS Projects.
Previous Experience:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in managing and coordinating relief and development programs and projects.
- Experience in project management, program coordination, monitoring, and/or consulting services.
- Good knowledge of relevant food security and livelihoods policies, frameworks, and laws.
- Familiarity with PSEA (Safeguarding), Food Security, and Livelihoods.
- Experience in risk management.
- Experience in writing reports in both Arabic and English.
- Extensive experience in general management, team building, report writing, and analysis.
- Experience in budget preparation and management.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and analytical skills.
IT Skills:
- Good knowledge of using computerized resource management systems.
Languages:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
