Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Project Officer Assistant
For a period of 3 months
The Candidate will:
-Supervise the daily field activities in coordination with the local partners and report on progress and any challenges encountered to the Head of Project.
-Participate through data collection and field visits in stakeholder mapping and evaluation of financial service providers’ capacities for cash transfers in Gaza.
-Support project beneficiaries to prepare business plans and cash flow statements for the on-going Income Generating Activities.
-Participate in evaluating the prepared business plans in coordination with the local partners under ACF supervision.
-Support the implementation and monitoring of the approved business plans in coordination with the local partners. Supervision will be undertaken by ACF according to organisational policies and procedures.
-Assist and provide technical and financial advice for the project beneficiaries to purchase the required tools and materials for the re-establishment of Income Generating Activities.
-Participate in the data collection for project activity evaluation or for communication purposes under the supervision of the Head of Project.
-Support organisation of the trainings and awareness sessions with the beneficiaries, and in collaboration with local partners.
-Ensure field work complies with project working plan and timeframe.
-Assist local partners in report writing in order to ensure quality and compliance with donor requirements .
-Propose solutions and improvements relating to project progress.
-Assist in preparing and updating beneficiary files for each business category.
-Assist in the preparation of time schedules and household survey tools.
-Assist in preparing monitoring plans and implementation procedures for each activity.
-Coordinate with other project staff to cross check the beneficiary list and avoid duplications, establish and/or update beneficiary database.
-Participate in distributing daily tasks to the social workers.
-Supervise the daily work by the social workers and data collection process in the field.
-Collect the completed questionnaires from the field on a daily basis.
-Follow up the data entry for the collected data.
-Report activities of the field to the Head of Project daily taking into consideration reports requirements and monitoring and/or evaluation tools and indicators.
-Participate in the preparation and the collection of data for communication purposes (case studies....).
Profile of the Candidate:
-Bachelor degree in Economics, Business Administration or any related field.
-Knowledge in Livelihoods program implementation, preferably in the Gaza Strip.
-Knowledge of business plans development is a must.
-Proven relevant field experience in food security context in the Gaza Strip.
-Past experience in the business sector and/or supervising projects focusing on Income Generating Activities will be a plus.
-Capacity to apply organizational rules and procedures.
-Obliged to maintain confidentiality for information relating to all ACF activities.
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
-Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
-Fluency in reading, writing and speaking Arabic and English.
-Excellent knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
