Food Security Field Officer
For an initial 1 month period
The Candidate will:
-Participate in the design and implementation of rapid food security assessments and project identification studies under the supervision of the Food Security Project Manager.
-Identify project beneficiaries
-Supervise social workers
-Organize and supervise field activities in coordination with local partners
-Participate in data collection for baseline studies
-Participate in the design of food security concept papers and project proposals
-Participate in the information gathering from other NGO’s, institutions, ministries, local partners and communities on the food security situation in the Gaza Strip
-Participate in the forecast and follow-up of the project expenses and budget
-Participate in meetings with the community and project staff to define roles and responsibilities
Profile of the Candidate:
-University degree in agricultural engineering or related field
-Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
-Good knowledge of Cash For Work and Food Security Programming
-Excellent organizational and communication skills
-Good project field management skills
-Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Access, and Internet
-Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
