Food Quality Assurance (FQA) Officer

General Duties:

• Follow up daily on fieldwork of Anera activities related to food aid, including hot meals, ready–to–eat food, and fresh produce.
• Ensure meeting standards and specifications and sign on handing over and work reports.
• Periodical field visits to production sites like kitchens, tekias, and packaging sites.
• Ensure quantities are correct per requests and invoices.
• Give guidance and supervise the work of site field monitors.
• Submit progress reports identifying achievements and lessons learned.
• Assist the emergency team in activities related to food aid, and nutrition activities.

Competencies:

• Sc. degree in nutrition/ food processing from a faculty of agriculture or related academic institutions.
• Good experience in Developmental project management.
• Good experience in quality control.
• Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Three to five years of experience in supervising similar activities.
• With farmer groups, preferably within an NGO environment.
• Strong personality, communication skills, teamwork.
• Good reporting skills.
• Assume responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of work.
• Valid driving license.
