ACF (Action Against Hunger) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, nondenominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory
since 2002. In line with ACF’s strategy in the Palestinian Territory to support the vulnerable
population by enabling them to cover their basic water and sanitation, food security and
nutritional needs. ACF is recruiting for its Hebron office a

Food Security Project Assistant
For an initial 4 months period, with possibility of extension dependant on funding
The candidate will report to the Food Security Programme Manager and assist with the following:
- Coordinate and follow up implementation of all food security activities (beneficiary selection, project implementation, training, tenders, etc…)
- Participate in Information gathering from other NGOs, institutions, ministries, and local partners about the food security situation in Hebron and Bethlehem Governorates
- Participate in the design and implementation of food security assessments, surveys or any other project identification studies
- Participate in data collection for baseline studies
- Provide technical assistance to the Hebron food security team
- Provide technical assistance to beneficiaries and counterparts
- Forecast and follow up project expenses and budgets
- Establish and follow-up weekly planning meetings
- Participate in meetings with the community and project staff to define roles and responsibilities
- Participate in writing projects amendments if needed
Profile of the candidate:
- A BSc degree in development, agriculture, livestock or related field
- Good knowledge of Emergency Response and Food Security Programmes
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Internet)
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Good field management skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
- Valid driving license
