Fundraising and Communication Officer

The Association of Women Committees for Social Work (AWCSW) is a non-profit, non-governmental Palestinian organization. Whose main mission is to attain gender-equality in a democratic Palestinian society, through improving the social, educational and economic opportunities of women and promoting their perception in decision-making processes, to protect rights and to encourage development. 

AWCSW is currently seeking to fill the position of Fundraising and Communications Officer, to be based at its Ramallah Head Office.
1 year contract renewable, (60%) working hours

Purpose of the Function
The Fundraising and Communication Officer will work closely with the General Manager of the Public and Relation Department, and will support the development and implementation of AWCSW fundraising strategy in coordination with program units. In particular, SheHe will be responsible for identifying potential funders, implementing strategies, and maintaining donor relationships to raise funds in support of AWCSW programs and activities. 

Main Tasks
Develop the organization’s fundraising and outreach strategy
Strengthening the role of the AWCSW through institutional networking and building alliance
Grant-writing/project proposal writing including budget and other supporting documentation in a timely manner to meet grant application deadlines
Identify institutional fundraising opportunities in the region from foundations, government and other international agencies
Responsible for establishing and maintaining relations between AWCSW and Potential Donors
Supervise and ensure the continuous updating of AWCSW website
Prepare the annual report of the organization
Promote AWCSW’s image, its mission, strategic objectives and programs in all aspects of information dissemination

Qualifications Standards
Master Degree in Management or any other relevant fields
A Minimum of three years proven experience as a fundraising officer
Extensive knowledge of the basic principle, practices of fundraising techniques and strategy
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills that will facilitate solid working relationships with donors
Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication and negotiation skills 
Superior verbal and written communications skills in English
