Job Title: Fundraising and Grants Officer/Manager
Reports to: General Secretary (GS)
Location: East Jerusalem and Ramallah
Contract: Fixed full-time
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fundraising and Grants Officer/Manager to support our General Secretary (GS) in maintaining and expanding our donor base, securing new funding opportunities, and fostering partnerships to ensure the successful implementation of our projects.
Main Responsibilities:
Fundraising:
- Develop and Implement Fundraising Plans: Assist the GS in creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure sustainable funding for EJ-YMCA’s core operations and projects.
- Donor Research and Identification: Research and identify potential international and local donors to expand the funding base. Research additional relevant development sources/platforms including subscription-based platforms.
- Database Management: Compile and maintain an up-to-date database of donor organizations, categorizing them for targeted communication to serve as a tool for EJ-YMCA and its programs and centers.
- Proposal and Concept Note Preparation: Prepare high-quality and compelling concept notes and full project proposals for EJ-YMCA and its programs and centers, including budgets in coordination with Finance, ensuring timely submission.
- Fundraising Campaigns and Events: Assist the GS in organizing and executing fundraising and public relations campaigns and events to increase donor engagement.
Grants Management:
- Donor compliance and partnership management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing donors, eensuring compliance with donor requirements and guidelines throughout the grant lifecycle, as well inquiries and requests are addressed promptly.
- Projects management, monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the implementation of projects, identify and raise concerns, and prepare accurate narrative reports with internal reviews.
- Portfolio Management: Manage an ongoing portfolio of donors for current projects, including progress and final reporting, no-cost extension requests, and contract addendums.
Partnership Development and Outreach:
- Representation: Represent EJ-YMCA at conferences, workshops, and other events to maximize opportunities for donor funding and partnership development as requested by GS.
- Collaborative Fundraising: Provide support for collaborative fundraising efforts in conjunction with EJ-YMCA programs and centers.
Communications:
- Communications Plan Development: Support the GS, and Communications / Media Officer in Developing and implementing a comprehensive communications plan to enhance EJ-YMCA’s visibility and outreach efforts.
- Fundraising Materials: Develop and contribute to the creation of fundraising materials, including presentations, press releases, media articles, and success stories.
- Website Content: Collaborate with the Software Developer & IT Specialist and Media Coordinator to create and update engaging content for the EJ-YMCA website.
Other Duties: Perform any other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the GS.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- At least 5 years of solid experience in fundraising, grant writing, donor management, and partnership development, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Proven track record in securing substantial funding and managing donor relationships.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in both Arabic English. (language proficiency will be tested).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in using donor management databases and other fundraising tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Fluency in English (knowledge of additional languages is an asset).
