Fundraising Coordinator

Job Description

ActionAid is an international organisation, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid Palestine is a part of the ActionAid International Federation and ActionAid Australia.

ActionAid is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Fundraising Coordinator for 12 months period(extendable). The post location is Hebron.

The key responsibilities for this position will be as follows:
-Prepare high quality project proposals in coordination with the respective AAP units
-Manage the application process in coordination with relevant programme units, finance unit and the CD
-Carry out donor scoping for funding opportunities and share this information with SMT
-Ensure that all donor queries are dealt with, in a timely manner
-Respond to all Funding Affiliates’ (FA) queries and concerns effectively and efficiently in consultation with respective AAP units.
-Conduct field visits at regular intervals and provide necessary support to the staff involved in the projects
-Ensure the quality of the project reports in line with the donors/FA’s requirements.
-Organise and conduct trainings and workshops on proposal writing and reporting to build the capacity of AAP staff.

-Organise induction to project staff about the donor/FA requirements

Eligible applicants are required to have the following qualifications and skills:

-Master’s degree in Management with specialization in marketing or any other relevant field
-A minimum of three years’ experience of fundraising in a development organisation
-Knowledge of fundraising techniques including, but not limited to: proposal writing; public relations; prospect research; donor relations
-Skilled in writing and editing proposals and reports. Ability to write/edit in a variety of writing styles and draft materials on a wide range of topics. 
-The ability to translate complex technical language and ideas into comprehensive, compelling language and writing.
-Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate work with a wide range of individuals and groups from culturally diverse backgrounds.  
-Ability to communicate fluently in Arabic and English
