Short-Term Fundraising Assignment

Background:

An independent non-governmental organization focused on socio-economic development in the region is launching a project on social security and welfare. To ensure the successful implementation of this project, the organization is seeking an experienced Fundraising Expert to lead efforts in securing the necessary financial resources and managing relationships with key donors.

Objectives:

The primary objective of the Fundraising Expert is to secure the financial resources required for the project by developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy.

Scope of Work:

• Identify and engage a range of potential funding sources, including international agencies, foundations, and private sector partners.
• Create and present tailored, compelling proposals and concept notes that align with donor interests and requirements.
• Conduct focused outreach to secure financial commitments and funds necessary for the project's launch.
• Collaborate closely with the project team to understand project goals and specific needs.
• Develop detailed, donor-specific proposals that clearly communicate the project’s objectives, impact, and sustainability plan, ensuring alignment with both the organization’s and donors’ strategic priorities.

Timeline:

This is a three-month consultancy assignment, with potential for extension based on performance and need, but all targets are expected to be met within the first three months timeframe.

Qualifications:

• Advanced university degree.
• Proven experience in fundraising and resource mobilization, with a strong track record of developing successful proposals and securing funding from diverse sources.
• Extensive knowledge and network of international and donor organizations working in Palestine and the region.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with high-level stakeholders and build strategic partnerships.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to craft persuasive communication materials.
• Experience in organizing and delivering fundraising pitches.
• Development sector experience, particularly with NGOs, with a history of producing high-quality outputs.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing requirements or feedback from multiple stakeholders.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Proposals will be evaluated based on the consultant’s experience, methodology, and cost-effectiveness.
