JOB OPPORTUNITY ­ GAZA
The Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion (EDIP) project, implemented by CARANA Corporation, is a 3-year, USAID funded project devoted to private-sector development in the West Bank. The EDIP project is seeking to fill the position of GAZA Grants and Procurement Specialist This is a key position, responsible for Gaza grant and procurement administration This position will report to EDIP Compliance Officer
Duty Station: Gaza
Duration: 6 months - extendable
Listed below are the requirements and qualifications needed:
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assist in conducting pre-award organizational assessments for subaward financial management, including review of the recipient‘s accounting and financial systems and internal controls.
-As needed, make recommendations and provide instructions and guidance to recipients to ensure that their accounting and financial systems and internal controls are in compliance with EDIP Project and USAID requirements.
- Assist in preparation of subawards and development of financial reporting requirements.
- Answer questions from recipient organizations and provide any clarification and guidance needed related to recipient preparation of subaward financial reports and supporting documentation.
- Provide guidance to recipient organizations on USAID audit requirements for subawards.
- Review subaward financial reports and supporting documents provided by recipients, and ensure that the financial information provided is accurate, complete, verifiable, and reliable, in accordance with the subaward agreement, and meets the project‘s financial reporting requirements.
- Ensure sound financial management of subaward funds.
- Ensure compliance with USAID requirements for financial management of subawards.
- Assist with the preparation of templates and report formats for subaward financial reporting.
- Maintain subaward financial reporting files and documentation.
- Assist the EDIP Project Accounting staff as needed with activities related to subaward financial reporting and documentation.
- Will be in charge of following all Gaza- related procurement activities: identifying suppliers, setting RFQ, preparing due diligence, following payments progress, items delivery and final handover with all necessary documentations
- Other duties as assigned by the Compliance Officer.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
- Knowledge of USAID rules and regulation
-Excellent English and Arabic communication and writing skills
- Good analytical and reporting skills
