Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is an international aid agency that has been present in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip since 1961. CRS is an organization which seeks to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting disease and poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies.

Scope of Work
CRS will be accepting bids starting immediately, from organizations or companies interested in working for CRS to conduct general field surveys of 7,000 designated and willing individuals/households, both male and female, with different levels of literacy, throughout the Gaza Strip. The second part of this task involves entering the collected data from the surveys into a designated online database.  CRS has estimated that each survey will take 15 minutes to complete, if the individual conducting the survey is efficient and accurate.  The data entry will take significantly less time, and can be conducted concurrently.   

Summary of Tasks
-Accurately complete 7,000 survey forms
-7,000 surveys entered into a designated online database
-The timeframe to complete this task is two working weeks
-Assure data checks and quality control at all stages

Bid Content
When placing your bid, be sure to address the following points, as bids failing to do so will be incomplete and will not be considered.
1-The bidding party must be a registered company, consultant, or organization.
2-The qualifications/experiences of the company, consultant, or organization, in the areas of data collection and data entry.
3-Please list 3 other organizations, individuals or companies whom you have done similar work for previously.  If you are unable to list 3, then state why.
4-Number of persons on your team, who will be conducting surveys, and doing the data entry.
5-The number of computers your team will be using to input the data.
6-The length of time you estimate it will take your company or team to complete 7,000 interviews, as well as enter them into an online database.
7-How you will ensure quality control.  CRS is committed to assuring the highest level of quality in all of their projects.  Bidding parties should be aware that random checks and ongoing oversight and follow-up will be implemented by CRS in all stages of the data collection and data entry process. Inaccuracies above a designated percentage will penalize the contracting party financially.
8-The proposed budget should break down charges per survey conducted, and survey entered. 
9-In order to be considered, bidders must be able to start conducting field surveys the second week of February, 2011.  Please indicate in your bid that this start date is possible for your team, if indeed it is.
10-The data from all 7,000 interviews must be entered into designated online database by the 27th of February, 2011.  Please indicate that this end date is possible for your team, if indeed it is.     
11-Those interested in bidding may pick up a hard copy of the survey form that will be used, may contact CRS at the below email address, and request a copy of the document.

Desired Qualifications
-3-5 years of experience in research and data entry by the bidding party, or other relevant experience. 
-University degrees in IT or social work for members of the team.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in teams.
