The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water,sanitation and hygiene sectors.
The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs
Job description
-Facilitate trainings on core principles of Child Protection and GBV
-Facilitate trainings on Case Management
-Facilitate trainings on Standard Operating Procedures and Referral Pathway
-Assist in the development of response-based training curriculum,
-Support Child Protection and GBV project activities
-Support the organization and implementation of safety audits in high risk communities and stay aware of findings
-Support NRC’s Education, WASH and Shelter programs with the implementation of the Child Protection and GBV referral pathway and capacity building needs
-Assist in developing awareness materials that are targeted towards children, young adults and women in the referral pathway
-Coordinate with Project Manager to contribute to monthly program reports
-Communicate program challenges, successes and ideas with Project Manager often
-Other tasks as requested by the Project Manager
Qualifications

-Bachelor’s Degree or extensive experience in social work; health care; or community development
-Significant experience in working as a senior case manager and social worker

-Minimum 3 years of proven field experience in relevant field
-Ability to manage and resolve personal conflicts

-Gender sensitivity and ability to reflect women and girls needs on programmatic design.
-Flexibility and adaptability.
-Strong organizational and team working skills
-Good cultural awareness and sensitivity
-Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential
-High ability to use EXCEL in data analysis and presentation. Other software programs like SPSS is added value
- Knowledge of the NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian
-Strong Arabic and English language skills both written and verbal
-Significant experience in conducting trainings in a participatory way
