MAP is seeking a passionate individual to lead the development and management of the organization’s GBV & Women’s Empowerment programs in Gaza under the supervision of the Head of Protection. The successful candidate will devise strategies, oversee project design, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with donor requirements. Responsibilities include designing program strategies, contextualizing global GBV guidance, developing project designs, and managing funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports.

The candidate will coordinate and manage project implementation, provide technical guidance and support for all program activities, oversee programs delivered by MAP and partners, and ensure consultative, transparent, and gender-sensitive program delivery. They will monitor program expenditure, represent MAP in external forums, and support local partners. The role involves driving improvements in program quality, monitoring and evaluating program work, and ensuring compliance with international technical guidelines and donor obligations.
Staff management and leadership responsibilities include recruiting and managing staff, maintaining a healthy team environment, and ensuring professional development of program staff and local partners. Requirements for this role include extensive experience as a Programme Manager/Technical Specialist in humanitarian contexts, experience in conflict-affected environments, and a minimum of 8 years of practical experience in GBV programming. The candidate should possess technical expertise in GBV & Women’s Empowerment, fluency in Arabic and English, and experience in team capacity building.
