Job Description

The grant manager position is responsible for overall implementation of multi-sector emergency grants under US$1M in the West Bank. Projects are implemented in Qalquilya, Tubas, Tulkarem, Nablus, Salfit, Jordan Valley, Bethlehem and Hebron with the support of zonal field staff. Grants to be managed include the multi-sector emergency response portfolio (cash/voucher assistance, shelter/NFI including winterization, protection, child protection and DRR), with a focus on a DEC 2 award. The grant manager position oversees the implementation of all project activities in all areas, responsible for planning, coordination with support functions such as Supply Chain, Technical Leads, Finance, M&E, Safeguarding, etc., on-time and on-budget implementation, people management of project staff, project monitoring and reporting, and donor engagement.

Job Requirements

KNOWELEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • At least 3 years of progressive work experience in managing humanitarian grants. Experience using inter-faith, social norms or community-led approaches an advantage.
  • University degree/background in International Development, Project Management, Engineering or other related field “A degree in Project Management Cycle is an asset”
  •  Experience in project management
  •  Experienced in developing operational/implementation tools, M&E tools, quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Experience in managing project related to emergency response. Experience with voucher distribution, PSS and/or Engineering all considered a plus.  
  • Strong written and verbal English skills.
  • Solid knowledge in Microsoft Office and other applications.
  • The position is based in any of the field offices.
  • Excellent English written and spoken required. Arabic written and spoken fluency.
