Grants Coordinator
Job Description
The Palestinian Authority Capacity Enhancement Project (PACE) is working with the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) to improve the institutional capacity and the delivery of government services to citizens. The three-year project is being implemented by Chemonics International Inc., a private international company, with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project has an immediate opening for the following positions:
Grants Coordinator (2 positions)
Key Responsibilities:
-Monitor grant field activities and ensure quality implementation and their timely fulfillment of submitted work plans, timetables, and other grant agreement provisions.
-Maintain a close working relationship with grantees and verify compliance with the terms of each grant agreement, USAID rules and regulations, as well as Chemonics policies and procedures governing grant administration.
-Review grantees technical reports and make modifications as appropriate. Verify accuracy and validity of grantee activity reports.
-Prepare internal evaluations of active grants as required. Ensure grantees fulfill all reporting requirements.
-Prepare and submit periodic reports highlighting all field visit findings and maintain an appropriate file on quality assurance. Report any non-compliance or critical operational issue to the Grants Manager.
-In coordination with the project's M&E Specialist, evaluate recipient activity performance and program impact according to qualitative and quantifiable M&E indicators and defined program objectives.
-Capture major achievements and success stories by grantees and contribute in preparing success stories.
-Participate in the review of both solicited and unsolicited proposals and coordinate with applicants to submit any additional information.
-Assist in the administrative needs of the project in relation to the small grants program.
-Assist the finance and administrative staff as needed to support the overall objectives of the PACE project
Qualifications:
-Minimum of a bachelors degree in a relevant field
-Experience in grants management and oversight.
-Experience in coordinating between groups
-Strong decision making and logistical skills
-Experience in procurement and M&E is preferred.
-Good report writing skills in English and Arabic.
-Ability to communicate effectively
-USAID, other donor or government experience preferred
-Ability to work well in teams and under pressure
