Job Description
Expanded and Sustained Access to Financial Services (ESAF) Program
Position: Grants Officer
Location: Ramallah
Period of employment: 11 months
Supervisor: PIP Manager and Grants Senior Manager
The Academy for Educational Development seeks candidates for the position of Grants Monitoring
Officer to be based in Ramallah for the USAID funded initiative entitled “Expanded and Sustained
Access to Financial Services Program”/Palestinian Investment Partners (PIP).
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the PIP Manager, the Grants Monitoring Officer will provide critical support
in the management and monitoring of the grant activities and submissions.
Essential Job Functions:
-Monitor grants implementation by conducting frequent visits to the different grantee companies
all over the West bank.
-Conduct payment follow up, payment preparation and verification of supporting documentation
and monitor payment progress very closely.
-Coordinate closely with local banks with regards to LC support and other documentation.
-Check on equipment quality, date of production and status of the equipment (new vs. reconditioned).
Furthermore, monitor closely equipment delivery and assembly.
-Assist with the monitoring and evaluation process as requested, verify new equipments specifications are according to the grant agreement, monitor employment and revenue growth.
-Prepare procurement documentation and follow up with grantees on procurement related issues.
-Assist the PIP team with work load; technical administrative and some logistical work as required.
-Other Ad Hoc tasks assigned by PIP manager and Senior Grants Manager for accomplishing
program results.

Education:
BA in Management, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
Required Experience: At least 3 years experience in USAID related projects with special emphasis
on procurement procedures, and Grants monitoring
