BACKGROUND
Forsah Technical and Vocational Education and Training is a five-year program, funded by USAID and implemented by IREX in partnership with six international and local NGOs including DAI, VT, DG, BWF, BCCI and Al Najjah.
The Forsah TVET Program supports TVET institutions to better meet labor market demands and provide Palestinians with meaningful, well-paying employment and income generating opportunities. Through Forsah TVET, partner institutions develop new technical training and improve the quality and relevancy of existing technical programs, with a particular focus on improving youth access and inclusion.
Through Forsah TVET, Palestinian youth will increase their employability, find employment opportunities, or start their own business, in increasingly in-demand technical sectors.
Background and Objective
Forsah TVET is seeking a qualified training center/individual to deliver social media-focused graphic design and video editing training to TVET marketing and communication focal points, enhancing their ability to produce engaging, high-quality visual content that aligns with social media best practices and boosts the organization’s online presence and engagement.
Target Participants
The training is designed for 10-15 TVET marketing and communication focal points involved in social media content creation. Participants range from beginners to intermediate users, with the training structured to build foundational skills while also offering advanced tips.
Training Duration and Location
- Duration: A 3-day workshop.
- Location: Online Training.
Training Delivery Methodology
The trainer(s) should use an interactive approach with significant hands-on practice, with time allocated for feedback and content critique.
ASSIGNMENT TIMELINE
This assignment is envisioned to be conducted over a period of three days with an approximate start date of 16 Dec. 2024, until 18 Dec. The estimated needed level of effort shall be determined by the applicant in coordination with Forsah TVET staff according to their submitted proposal. Taking into consideration that tasks mentioned in the scope of work must be delivered in the third week of December 2024.
SUPERVISION
The Forsah Senior Awareness Campaign Officer will monitor the trainer work progress and will assess implementation of the assignment and submission/completion of all deliverables. The consultant will provide periodic verbal and written progress reports and recommendations.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Technical proposal: 70%

Scope of Work
The trainer(s) is expected to conduct:
- Hands-on training focused on the skills needed to design and edit social media-specific content. Key areas to cover include:
- Social media Graphic Design: Key design principles for social media, including layout, color schemes, typography, and branding. Training will include the creation of visually appealing posts, stories, and infographics, as well as how to use design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Video Editing for social media: Introduction to video storytelling, editing techniques, and effects tailored to social media platforms. Participants will be trained to use video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut) to create short videos, including reels, stories, and clips, optimized for Instagram, Facebook, and other social channels.
- Online Marketing: Develop a comprehensive session covering an overview of online marketing and in-depth Facebook advertising strategies. Include practical, hands-on modules that allow participants to create, manage, and analyze Facebook ad campaigns.
- Submit a brief narrative report covering the topics and an evaluation of the sessions implemented in the training and recommendations. In addition, the consultant will be responsible for recording and uploading the trainings to a google drive link that will be shared with IREX alongside the narrative report.
Expected Outcomes
By the end of the training, participants should be able to:
- Create branded and visually cohesive social media graphics.
- Edit short, engaging videos tailored to social media requirements.
- Utilize platform-specific features for reels, stories, and posts that maximize reach and engagement.
- Gain insights on online marketing.
Qualifications of the Trainer(s)
- Proven expertise in social media graphic design and video editing.
- Strong experience with design tools and software, including Adobe Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar.
- Experience in social media content creation, particularly for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Experience in online marketing.
- Previous experience in delivering training to NGOs or similar organizations (educational institutions) is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Submission Requirements and details
Trainer/s interested in this assignment should submit:
- Technical proposal that included the following:
- A training proposal with an outline of the approach.
- Trainer profile(s), including relevant experience.
- Financial proposal for training fees and other anticipated cost, including estimated Level of Effort, daily rate, and total amount in USD excluding VAT, the individual consultant must provide a valid deduct of source certificate, or 10% will be deducted from the total amount. In case of firm, the firm should provide a valid deduct of source certificate.
