Guests Relations Officer
Job Description
Al-Quds University in Jerusalem is seeking to recruit a motivated and professional Guests’ Relations Officer, to work at the Public Relations Department, main campus in Abu Dis.
This vacancy is a responsible administrative and field work in planning, directing and following up on all facilities needed to ensure a fruitful and useful visit.
Work is performed in accordance with standard policies and procedures, but the employee exercises a considerable amount of independent judgment in carrying out assigned duties and responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Touch base with the prospected guest, collect necessary information needed to start planning the
visit.
-Schedule activities for guests
-Plan and coordinate the provision of friendly, efficient services to guests
-Anticipate guest needs, handle guest requires
-Coordinate and supervise all activities for guests
-Arrange and coordinate the visit with the concerned parties on campus.
-Follow up all the logistical arrangements with the Events planning & services unit (hotel booking,
transportation, reception at the airport, tour in the Palestinian territories (if needed), and assure
providing Audio-visual equipments, and interpretation (upon request)
-Provide the Media Unit with the necessary information on the guest, and the planned agenda.
-Greet Guests upon arrival and escort them to locations on campus at their request, or upon the
planned agenda.
-Assist all departments in being receptive to the needs of guests
-Assist in any other duties when required by the PR Manager
This position may also assist with activities such as booking tickets, making reservations and arranging travel and tours.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited University and considerable experience related to this class of
work including some supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge and Skills
-Arabic Language (mother tongue) & an excellent command of English
-Ability to accomplish tasks through others.
-Manage the expected expenses within budgeted guidelines while meeting guest’s needs.
Cultural Awareness
-Work effectively with guests and colleagues from different viewpoints and cultures
