Reporting to: Director of Fundraising

Type of Contract: Full-time / 2 years (subject to review and made permanent)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the organization’s international fundraising strategy and budget to achieve the strategic goals and accelerate income growth across major donors, corporates, trusts and foundations and institutional fundraising.
• Develop a strong brand identity to generate recognition and support in new markets.
• Research and develop international fundraising approaches to recruit new donor groups.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, companies and institutions.
• Adhere to fundraising regulations and charity law, ensure data protection, and commit to the organization’s policies, codes of conduct and practices.

Special Requirements & Skills: 

• Proven track record of delivering fundraising goals across different markets.
• Understanding and experience of working internationally and in more than one market.
• Extensive relevant experience and a proven track record of delivery of income growth across multiple fundraising channels.
• Knowledge and/or experience of fundraising through major donors, trusts and foundations, corporates, institutions (EU, ECHO, UN, Gulf Development Funds).
• Proven experience of producing successful proposals for large scale projects.
• Experience of planning, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish.
• Experience working directly in supporting New Market Entry and Set-up.
• Experience of and ability to visit new countries to do groundwork where required, especially set-up of country fundraising operations.
• Experience setting up new operations and establishing processes from scratch is desirable.
• Experience of relational databases and of analysing and presenting data to make informed decisions, and high level of competence in CRM software.
• Public speaking and persuasion skills.
• In-depth knowledge of charity law, fundraising regulations, standards and best practices in the UK.
• Able and willing to travel internationally.

Total Years of Experience: 

• +8 years of experience, 5 years of them working at a senior level in fundraising for an international organization or not-for-profit organization.

Education & Certificates Required:

• A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree and/or fundraising certification is highly preferred.

Languages Required:

• Proficient Arabic and English Languages
