Programme :

Enfants du Monde-Droits de l’Homme (EMDH) is a French non-profit-making organization, endowed with a special consultative status to the United Nation Economical and Social Council (ECOSOC). EMDH’s projects around the world focus on defending and promoting the rights of children. The objective of EMDH is the recognition of the child as a person. It refers to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1989, and instituted on the 2nd of September 1990.

Mission:
The main missions of the HoM will be to optimize existing activities, promote country strategy development, develop funding, assure financial visibility, contribute to strengthening partnerships and information sharing and gathering.

1-Is responsible for correct country strategy implementation: geographical and sector
2-Is responsible for correct programs and projects implementation: respect donor guidelines and datelines, report writing, budget and indicators follow up, monitoring and evaluation. 
3-Develop fund-raising in the country and in the region.
4-Develop existing and new partnerships with local organizations.
5-Ensure representation at the local level with Diplomatic Missions, Partners, Local Authorities, other NGOs and institutions, etc.
6-Undertake communication activities to promote EMDH’s presence in the country and to develop EMDH as a « point of reference » in the field of childhood protection.
7-Assess and analyse relevance of the programs and elaborate recommendations regarding future orientation / possible improvements
8-Is responsible for team cohesion, maintaining ethic rules, local and expatriate teams organization as well as HR procedures implementation
9-Responsible for security

Profil :
-Previous « in the field » experience in humanitarian/development activities
-Experience in child protection
-Excellent personal and professional communications skills
-Experience in complex context environment
-Managerial & capacity building skills
-Organizational and coordination skills
-Fluent in English
-Knowledge of the oPt context is an advantage
-A good knowledge of EMDH’s activities and mandate is an asset

Conditions :
-Status: Volunteer or salaried depending on previous experience
-Duration : 1 year
-Starting Date : June 2010
