Head of the Advocacy Department
The Society of St. Yves is the Catholic Center for Human Rights in the needy, oppressed and marginalized and tries to raise the awareness of human and civil rights in the country.

1-Responsible for the developing, implementing and evaluating the advocacy strategy
2-Development, implementation and evaluation of advocacy campaigns
3-Responsible for establishing and maintaining the contact network (likeminded organizations and
international bodies) in regard of advo
4-Responsible for the print material of St. Yves, e.g. reports, awareness raising brochures
5-Responsible for contact strategy with the media and is acting, if necessary, as the spokesperson of Yves
6-Responsible for the national and international awareness raising program
7-Responsible for working and cooperating with the director and the heads of the legal and paralegal departments of St. Yves.

Credentials and Experience:
1-A university degree in law, political science, communication, journalism or any other related field.
2-At least 5 years of experience in the advocacy field or other related fields.
3-A well record of experience in conducting advocacy campaigns and events.
4-Knowledge of human and civil rights.
5-Profound knowledge of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1-Extended computer skills including website hosting and
2-Experience in writing and publishing
3-Excellent command of Hebrew, Arabic and English
4-Good management and leadership skills
5-A high degree of motivation and self esteem, and the ability to work in close and amiable cooperation within a team.
Special Requirements:
1-Willingness to talk in front of an audience.
2-Ability to present himself/herself in a professional manner.
3-Willingness to undertake local and international travel as required for advocacy purposes.
4-Willingness to work overtime (especially in the evening) and under tight timelines
