Hebron Administrative/Program Assistant
AMIDEAST is seeking qualified applicants for an Administrative/ Program Assistant for a one year (renewable) full-time contract position based in Hebron to begin January 1, 2010.
The Administrative/Program Assistant provides overall support to the administration of the office and liaises with AMIDEAST department heads and program staff to provide accurate
information and responsive service to students and other clientele. S/he will answer incoming telephone calls, receive visitors, register students, assist in office filing systems, and provide dayto-
day administrative management to the office.
Qualified applicants will meet the following criteria:
-Minimum 2 years’ college or university (Bachelor’s degree preferred);
-Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience;
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team and be self-directed and motivated
-Fluent spoken and written Arabic and English language skills;
-Strong interpersonal communication skills, customer service orientation, and positive attitude;
-Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook;
-Familiarity with one or more of AMIDEAST’s areas of expertise (English language teaching, student advising, testing, or scholarship promotion and recruitment) desirable
but not required.
