Job Description
AMIDEAST, an international non-profit organization in the West Bank and Gaza, is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions.
Hebron Office Manager
AMIDEAST is seeking qualified applicants for an Office Manager for a one year (renewable) full-time contract position based in Hebron to begin March 15, 2011.
The Office Manager provides overall support to the administration of the office and liaises with AMIDEAST department heads and program staff to provide accurate information and responsive service to students and other clientele. S/he will answer incoming telephone calls, receive visitors, register students, assist in office filing systems, and provide dayto- day administrative management to the office.
Qualified applicants will meet the following criteria:
-Bachelor’s degree in English, education, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
-Minimum five years of work experience, at least three in the education/ training sector
-Experience working in a fast paced professional office setting
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team and be selfdirected and motivated
-Detail-oriented, highly organized and a proven ability to multitask
-Experience developing training programs and supervising trainers
-Fluent spoken and written Arabic and English language skills;
-Strong interpersonal communication skills, customer service orientation, and positive attitude;
-Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook;
-Familiarity with one or more of AMIDEAST’s areas of expertise
(English language teaching, student advising, testing, or scholarship promotion and recruitment) desirable but not required.
