The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), officially founded in December 1968, is a national humanitarian organization. Since its establishment, it caters to the health and welfare of the Palestinian people and others in need in the OPT and the Diaspora. It has 4,200 employees in oPt (West Bank and Gaza Strip), Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Iraq in addition to its volunteer network of more than 20,000 people.

PRCS is seeking a highly qualified professional to join it's team in ICT department.

Help Desk Specialist


Job Description – Help Desk
Department:ICT
Location: Ramallah – Head Quarter


This position will be responsible for providing technical support to PRCS staff,
-Configuring new desktops, laptops, printers and projectors.
-Managing IT inventory and maintaining the availability of frequently used items.
-Applications troubleshooting.
-Maintenance of the PRCS internal systems.
-Troubleshooting and supporting network environments.
-Maintain and organize the IT unit files.
-Provide support in preparing the IT procurement.
-Participate in the IT tenders evaluation process.
-Update daily support and maintenance status reports.
-Perform installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on staff computers.
-Perform system upgrades as necessary for software and hardware related components as needed.
-Perform, monitor and control asset (hardware and software) inventory and equipment, in addition to any additional IT-related task assigned by the IT Manager.
-Knowledge of Windows clients and servers.
-Analyzing the request for new software customization, follow up on new purchased software and implementations.
-Providing support Windows XP/7/8, PC technology and Microsoft Office 2003/2007/2010.
-Install and perform repairs to software applications following design or installation specifications.
-Determine the appropriate software according to the set Plans and visions of PRCS

Qualification and Experience
-BS in Computer Science/ engineering, or a related field with at least three years’ experience.
-Experience in supporting both technical and non-technical users on deployed solutions.
-Computer hardware and Networking, A+, CCNA, MCSA or MCITP is plus.
-Ability to demonstrate knowledge in ERP systems implementation.
-Strong written, verbal and organizational skills.
-Excellent analytical, communication and critical thinking skills in a project setting in a client facing role.
-Good knowledge in programming languages.
-Strong staff service oriented communication skills (English & Arabic: oral and written).
-Good knowledge in Oracle and SQL.
-Excellent problem solving skills.

General Administrative Duties:
1-Developing periodic reports related to the activities of the unit.
2-Handling any other work related activities as per the direction of the IT unit manager.
3-Replace Either any of the IT Staff when needed.
