TYO is seeking passionate and experienced 9th and 10th-grade educators specializing in Math, English, and Arabic to lead non-formal education programs for high school students in Nablus.
Job Summary
TYO is looking for subject matter experts in Math, English, and Arabic to support its After-School Academic and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Program for 9th and 10th-grade students. Educators will be responsible for delivering engaging, student-centered lessons that reinforce core academic skills, bridge learning gaps, and integrate Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) into teaching strategies. This role focuses on fostering academic success, resilience, and emotional well-being among students facing adversity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic, interactive lesson plans tailored to high school students.
- Provide academic reinforcement and remedial education for students struggling in formal school settings.
- Integrate SEL and trauma-informed teaching practices into classroom instruction.
- Create a safe, structured learning environment where students feel supported.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs and bridge academic gaps in Math, English, or Arabic.
- Facilitate structured discussions, group activities, and creative expression opportunities.
- Collaborate with counselors and psychologists to support students' mental health needs.
- Train and mentor local volunteers supporting non-formal education programs.
- Conduct student assessments and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Lead parental engagement workshops to encourage family involvement in education.

Primary Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, English, Arabic, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 4+ years of teaching experience, preferably in high school.
- Subject matter expertise in Math, English, or Arabic at the high school level.
- Experience with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), trauma-informed education, or MHPSS interventions.
- Fluency in Arabic, with strong English communication skills.
- Experience working in crisis-affected or marginalized communities is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt lesson plans based on students’ individual learning needs.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Passion for student-centered, interactive learning approaches.
