Children’s Relief Bethlehem/Caritas Baby Hospital (CRB/CBH) in Bethlehem is a charitable institution committed to providing high quality health, social and educational services to ”Mother and
Child” in Palestine.

CBH has been awarded a grant by USAID entitled “Development of Services at Caritas Baby Hospital”.
One component of this grant is the implementation of an integrated, comprehensive, and
automated Health Information System (HIS).
In line with the above, CBH is seeking qualified applicants for the following position based in Bethlehem:

HIS support officer

Qualifications:
-BA (4-years) degree in Information Technology (IT) or programming.
-Managing HIS is preferred.

Skills:
-Experience with IT equipment.
-Great customer service skills.
-Good English language knowledge.
-At least three years experience in software developments.
-Experience in system analysis and software programming.
-The ability to work under pressure and out-side of official working hours.
-Knowledge in database structure, design, backup and recovery.
-Knowledge in IT network designing for LAN, WAN and WLAN networks.

Main Tasks:
-Supervise the implementation and training on the new Hospital Information System (HIS).
-Managing the HIS program by implementing securities and policies for the users.
-Help in the analyzing the workflow of each department in CBH.
-Test, maintain, and monitor HIS, including coordinating the installation of HIS.
-Working closely with the HIS developer company and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
-To provide training sessions and technical support for employees.
-Cooperate with the HIS developer company to facility the work.
-Drawing up a testing schedule and training for the complete HIS system.
-Presenting proposals to users’ problems on HIS.
-Translating users’ requirements to the HIS Developer Company into highly clear manner.
-Ensuring that the HIS project deadlines are met and reporting any bugs in the HIS program to the HIS developer company.
-Revise HIS system procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
-Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades for HIS software coordinating with
the IT department.

Supervision:
This position reports directly to the Hospital’s IT head department.

Term of office:
This position is available for the duration of the project (2 years).
