NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water,sanitation and hygiene sectors.
The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 4000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs
The HR Admin Assistant is responsible for all reception duties and assist the Administration department welcoming visitors in NRC and assisting the Administration in day-to-day activities at the NRC Country Office in Gaza and assisting the Admin Coordinator with daily tasks.
Job description
-Responsible for all reception duties related to NRC Gaza Office, including welcome visitors, answering phone and taking messages.
-Responsible for Booking and following up all related matters of the Gaza Guesthouse
-Prepare attendance sheets for all staff in Gaza office, and monthly updating the attendance sheet in the attendance book and prepare a report.
-Communicating with National insurance company about insurances and assist the staff with procedures and benefits when dealing with the insurance company.
-Assist in the administration of national and international staff information relevant for visa and permit applications
-Responsible for keeping the reception area tidy and welcoming;
-Responsible for taking bookings for the meeting room and ensuring that it is kept in order; Preparing the communication equipment and Procurement of fruit/pastries/lunch when needed.
-Provide administration cover and support to other NRC departments
-Responsible for keeping file with correspondence, NRC registration documents, and other documents.
-Assist in Bids & request for quotation meetings
-Check Suppliers & premises contract’s forms.
-Responsible for taking minutes
-Carry out other relevant administrative duties as requested by the supervisor
Qualifications
-Academic and Professional Qualifications
-Diploma degree or other relevant education
-Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative office.
-Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision.
-Strong organisational skills.
-Pleasant personality and team player
-Very good command of English, Arabic both written and orally.
-Very good command of computer skills (Word, Excel).
