Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children (ASDC) is a local NGO, established in 1992 in Gaza City, in order to help persons with hearing disability in the Gaza Strip to have their chance in life through education, rehabilitation, and job training and employment opportunities. From its establishment as a small school for the students with hearing disability serving 27 pupils in 1992, Atfaluna now serves more than 40,000 persons with and without disabilities annually through a multitude of interventions and training programs implemented within a holistic and right-based and inclusive approaches involving children and adults with without disabilities, their families, service providers organizations, and the community-at-large.
Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, located in Middle area or South Gaza, is inviting applications from qualified persons for the post of hiring HR and Logistics officer.
Reports to: ASDC’s Director
Job Summary:
The HR and Logistics Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operations of Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children in the Gaza Strip and is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring logistics and supply chain activities and the human resources. This position primarily focuses on Human resources, recruitment management, supply chain management, logistic management, fleet and movement management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Handle requirement processes based on ASDC’s policies. Prepare a comprehensive/clear short list for successful candidates to attend for Interview(s) following the coordination with the ASDC director.
- Employee Relations: Handling employee relations matters, such as disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions, in accordance with company policies and labor laws.
- Training and Development: Identifying training needs, organizing training sessions, and implementing development programs to enhance employees' skills and capabilities.
- Performance Management: Implementing performance appraisal systems, conducting reviews, and providing feedback to employees to improve performance.
- Policy Implementation: Ensuring compliance with HR and ASDC’s policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Staff attendance: Management/Follow up of staff leaves, provide necessary forms for staff, while needed;
- Supply Chain Management: Managing the supply chain process, including procurement, inventory control, and distribution of goods or services.
- Transportation: Coordinating transportation activities, such as scheduling shipments and managing logistics providers (e.g., couriers, freight forwarders).
- Warehousing and Inventory: Overseeing warehousing operations, including storage, stock control, and ensuring efficient use of space.
- Logistics Planning: Developing logistics plans and strategies to optimize delivery schedules and minimize costs.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating logistical risks, such as delays or disruptions in supply chains.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to logistics operations.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to logistics and transportation.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, logistics, business administration, or any other related field.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a relevant field
- Proven experience working with NGOs, INGOs, possibly in similar roles.
- Familiar with the Palestinian Labour Law.
- Familiar with recruitment, procurement and logistics processes and strategies.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments & meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Mature professional attitude, excellent communication, creative and flexible with ability to work in a team.
- Computer skills, especially on Microsoft (word, excel, etc.)
- Excellent in written & spoken English/ Arabic
