Position: HR Officer 

Type: Full-time, On-site 

Location:  Gaza, Palestine  

Salary: ILS 107,700  

Reporting to: Deputy Director – Finance & Operations 

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support, including maintaining accurate employee records, managing the Human Resource Information System, and generating HR reports. Key responsibilities include supporting employee engagement and wellbeing, ensuring correct processing of HR and payroll forms, and guiding managers on HR policies. Additionally, the role oversees the onboarding process for new employees and contributes to HR projects and initiatives, ensuring smooth HR operations across the organization.

Job Requirements

We're looking for someone with recent experience in human resources within humanitarian or development organizations, excellent communication and networking skills, and a solid understanding of local employment laws. Proficiency in English and IT skills, particularly in MS Office, is essential. The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, and should have a strong understanding of humanitarian and international development.
