HR Specialist
Job Description
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is contracting with MWH Americas Inc (MWH) for a program of water and wastewater infrastructure improvements in the West Bank under Phase II of the Infrastructure Needs Program.MWH is seeking the following positions for a fulltime 12 –month assignment located in Ramallah, Palestine Territory.
Title: HR Specialist
Department(s): Business Operations
Reports to: BO Sr. Manager
Summary of essential job function
-Maintains a detailed record of the turnover, and researches and formulates strategies which effectively aid in employee retention.
-Responsible for consulting with and helping practice managers and supervisors on company policies and procedures.
-Plays a very important role in providing an appropriate solution to employee problems.
-Helps employees and their managers in performance and disciplinary matters.
-Propose and develop a set of rules that would monitor the discipline and work of workers.
-Consulting with practice managers regarding employee turnover, absenteeism, changes in work settings, employee motivation and recognition, and other employee-related aspects
-Carries out the duty of conducting employee recognition activities like service honors and employee of the year awards.
Qualifications Sought
-Effective communication skills with others and be diplomatic, fair and discreet
-Have good interpersonal skills.
-Having an interest in matching an employee’s skills and talents with the appropriate job is beneficial.
-Ability to deal with people is an important part of the job.
-Must have strong written skills and analytical capabilities
-Excellent oral and written skills in English and Arabic
-Must be able to prepare precise and accurate reports and develop and present briefings
Minimum requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business or human resources administration
-Five years experience in working in HR environment and people
-Full knowledge and understanding of the Palestinian Labor Law
