Human Resources Assistant
Job Description
A European Union mission working to support the Palestinian Authority in establishing sustainable and effective policing arrangements is advertising the following vacancy at the Headquarters Office in Ramallah.

Human Resources Assistant
Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for the provision of day to day HR support services within the mission.
Duties:
-In coordination with the Desk Office in Brussels and the HR section organize the Mission recruitment and selection process of qualified applicants for the vacant positions (all international experts and local staff)
-To prepare and manage deployment of personnel, contracts, letters of appointment, contract extensions, reassignments, redeployments, termination/ends of mission, attendance records, duty rosters, leaves, pension funds, and all relevant finance personnel related issues
-Responsible for filing all documents within the HR section both digitally and hard copies
-To prepare job descriptions for every position and be responsible for filing them according to the mission routines
-Be responsible for arranging practical details for mission members during travels
-To process applications and maintain rosters and databases as appropriate
-To prepare and follow up the staff figures for mission members for our reports
-Perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience :
-An advanced University Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent academic or professional training
-A minimum of four years of experience in related topic, with broad professional experience, in legal, administrative and operational aspects of human resources and training
-To have experience in the implementation of EU processes and regulations in Human Resources (desirable).
-Excellent level of written and spoken English and Arabic. Hebrew desirable
-Excellent Computer skills required: MS Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
-Ability to take initiative and careful attention to details
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations as a team member in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment.
-Ability to prioritize and manage a high workload on occasions
-Ability and willingness to work additional hours if required
