Main purpose of the position
Responsabilities
- Perform data collection and research concerning local and international context, with regards to security, medical, nutritional and humanitarian issues, in order to provide reliable information for further decision-making.
- Support the Humanitarian Affairs Manager (HAM) in the analysis of the data collected, in order to better orientate the programs and projects, to provide an optimal response to population needs.
- Compile regular updates of the ongoing national activities and plans of NGO’s, UN, ICRC, donors, authorities and other actors on lobby, policy and operational plans and initiatives in order to adequate MSF ’s activities and objectives whenever required.
- Collaborate with the Project coordinators, the Operational/Humanitarian Affairs Department at HQ and other relevant parties to develop a coherent global strategy, in order to address the humanitarian situation.
- Support the HAM to review messages and tools, in order to raise all humanitarian issues in the mission and seek assistance and protection to affected population.
- Data collection, especially testimonies, in order to deepen MSF’s analysis of the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
- Promote and assist in the implementation of advocacy activities.
- Performing oral and/or written translation will be part of the accountabilities.
- The position will be intersectional, i.e. working with all MSF sections conducting activities in Gaza, but lead hierarchically and administratively by OCP

Education : Essential degree in Law, Humanitarian affairs, Political Sciences, Medical/Para-medical, Epidemiology or related university degree.

Experience : Previous working experience of at least one year in research, analysis and advocacy is an asset. Experience with MSF or other NGOs is an asset.

Language : Essential Arabic and English

Knowledge : Essential computer literacy skills (Word, Excel and Internet)
