ActionAid is an international organization, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid Palestine is a part of the ActionAid International Federation and ActionAid Australia.

ActionAid is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Humanitarian and Networking Inspirator for 11 months period. The post location is in  Bethlehem.

The Inspirator position considered as youth professional and practitioner with relevant working experience with young people, youth leadership, creative activism, movement building and humanitarian work. S/he should be strong networker, facilitator, coach and co-creator of organizing, movement building, creative activism and humanitarian activities.

Start Date: Immediately.

The key responsibilities areas for this position are as follows:

  • Facilitate weekly and monthly meetings with Humanitarian Youth Group Palestine (HYGP) in Gaza Strip and the West bank. ensuring the successful and effective implementation of the programme (Youth in Crisis) to be aligned with the programme objectives and set a sustainable plan.
  • Support the (HYGP) Knowledge, tools and skills about youth leadership in emergencies, risk analysis participatory planning, teamwork, Advocacy campaigning, conflict management, networking, presentation and facilitation skills, designing and implementing community-based initiatives and other needed capacities.
  • Support HYGP members to conduct social movement through analyzing local context.
  • Support the HYGP members to be connected with the various networks, platforms and organizations for taking collective action.
  • Support HYGP members to design and implement community-based protection, resilience, and responseinitiatives.
  • Support HYGP to build networks and alliances with youth groups and NGOs at local, National and Global levels.
  • Support HYGP to lead research, policy papers, and needs assessments other evidence-based tools.
  • Organize the related logistic arrangements for the planned activities.
  • Support specific learning and campaign activities coordinated by ActionAid and ActionAid’s Global Platform.

Job Requirements

Eligible applicants are required to have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, emergency management, emergency preparedness, agricultural Engineering, public administration, public health,
  • At least 3 years of experience in Humanitarian work, emergency, preparedness, Resilience building, democratic governance and social community field.
  • Excellent knowledge about the local and international humanitarian organizations and structure in Palestine.
  • At least two years’ experience in training domain.
  • Very good training skills and training developments.
  • Excellent mobilization and organizational skills.
  • Experience in grassroots-level youth mobilization and organizing.
  • A great level of an awareness of the Palestinian context.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and representation skills.
  • work and complete tasks in coordinate with supervisor
  • work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • ability to travel frequently within Palestine.
  • Proficient understanding of the resilience principles within the field of humanitarian efforts.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work with the youth and colleagues in an equal and respectful manner where shared learning is essential.
