Job Title: Gaza Humanitarian Projects Coordinator
Reports to: CEO
Department: Operations
Location: Gaza Office
General Description
The Gaza Humanitarian Projects Coordinator (GHPC) is responsible for the identification, preparation, management and reporting of humanitarian needs and projects in the Gaza Strip, including the management of staff, overseeing budgets, interacting with partners and volunteers, and reporting to management on all actions and programs.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead a process of identifying through teamwork different humanitarian projects in Gaza, and submit project to CEO for approval;
- Supervising field-workers and being responsible for their daily work, in coordination with Area Coordinators;
- Setting their weekly calendars for planning on Sunday morning;
- Reviewing their week in detail on Thursday;
- Preparation and management of budgets;
- Maintaining a timeline of all humanitarian projects;
- Working with the Gaza Procurement Manager to ensure that all projects follow PCRF policies and procedures;
- Oversight of all humanitarian projects from planning to completion including field workers supervision;
- Creation and management of detailed reports for all projects;
Monthly Sponsorship Program:
One-Time Sponsorship:
- Review and approve, based on criteria, one-time sponsorship cases as submitted from the field, ensuring that all of the medical, social and rocurement procedures are correct and according to PCRF’s policies;
- Supervise the implementation of support for the child;
- Follow up the one time cases to make sure they receive the services on timely manner;
- Work with Procurement for each child individually, or to with local providers;
- Provide weekly updates to IT for newsletter sponsorship;
- Keep organized files in Drive;
- Provide report after child gets care for donor;
Monthly Sponsorship Program:
- Review and approve, based on criteria, Monthly sponsorship cases as submitted from the field, ensuring that all of the medical, social and procurement procedures are correct and according to PCRF’s policies
- Supervise the implementation of support for the child;
- Work with Procurement for each child individually, or to with local providers;
- Provide semi-annual updates to donor;
- Keep organized files in Drive;
Orphan/Syrian Sponsorship Program
- Review and approve, based on criteria, orphan sponsorship cases as submitted from the field, ensuring that all of the social and procurement procedures are correct and according to PCRF’s policies
- Managing monthly, orphan & Syrian sponsorship project;
- Supervise the implementation of support for the child;
- Work with Procurement for each child individually, or to with local providers;
- Keep organized files in Drive;
Supervise the Mental Health Program:
- Supervise clinical social worker lead on mental health program;
- Follow up on children cases and referrals.
- Prepare periodic reports (ad hoc, monthly, quarterly and end of the year reports)
- Liaise with local partners (CMBM, GCMHP)
- Work closely with Mental Health Project Advisor;
- Prepare IPR and PRs;
- Maintain proper filing system on the drive and the trello.
- Using trello as management tool and ensure accuracy and well organized.
- Participate in the performance review of the field workers.
- Represent the PCRF in the mental health cluster.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities:
- Implement any task related to humanitarian projects or other projects requested by her supervisor in a timely and professional manner;
- Prepare agreements.
Minimum Skill Requirements
- Bachelor degree required; in a relevant field of expertise, preferable in psychosocial / mental health fields.
- Minimum total 5 years of experience working on humanitarian projects/
- Fluency in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and new systems
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
