Hygiene Promotion Officer

Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.
ACF is recruiting for its Gaza office a

 For an initial 6 months

The candidate will:
-Lead hygiene promotion activities under Program Manager supervision and sensitize local partners in the field
-Assess and update project needs (HR, financial, logistics)
-Supervise the distribution of hygiene kits
-Participate in the implication of beneficiary communities in project activities
-Coordinate hygiene activities and sensitize local partners in the field
-Identify the community’s technical training needs
-Participate in permanent information gathering from other NGOs, institutions, local authorities and other key actors about the local water, sanitation and hygiene situation
-Participate in the design and implementation of WASH assessments, surveys or any other project identification study in collaboration and coordination with technical coordinator.

Profile of the Candidate:
-University degree in public health or any related field
-3 years of relevant professional experience
-Fluency in Arabic and English (good level spoken and written)
-Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office package
-Motivation and commitment to humanitarian work
-Good interpersonal, analytical and communications skills
-Well organized and rigorous
-Valid driving license
