Hygiene Promotion Officer

ACF (Action Against Hunger - Spain) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, nondenominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.
In line with our project “Providing access to adequate sanitation in slums of the refugee camp of Khan Younis (Gaza Strip)” funded by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha.

ACF is recruiting for its Gaza office a

for an initial 2.5 months period
The candidate will:
-Implement the activities of the hygiene promotion project activities
-Ensure implementation of the activities defined by the Head of Program
-Assess and update project needs (HR, financial, logistics)
-Supervise the distribution of hygiene kits
-Participate in the implication of beneficiary communities in the project: activities
-Coordinate hygiene activities and sensitize local partners in the field
-Identify the community’s technical training needs
-Participates in permanent information gathering from other NGOs, institutions, local authorities
and other key actors about local food security situation
-Participates in the design and implementation of WS assessments, surveys or any other project
identification study in collaboration and coordination with technical coordinator.

Profile of the Candidate:
-University degree in public health or any related field
-3 years of relevant professional experience
-Fluency in Arabic and English (good level spoken and written)
-Strong computer skills Micsoft Office
-Motivation and commitment to humanitarian work
-Good interpersonal, analytical and communications skills
-Well organized and rigorous
-Valid Driving License
