Information and Communication Technology trainer

The Palestinian Center for Youth Economic Empowerment (CYEE) is working to enable young Palestinians to achieve an independent and sustainable future. The CYEE is investing in youth development through a cooperative effort with Palestinian businesses, educational institutions, government and society. CYEE works to develop youth capacity through work-skills training and entrepreneurship support; to broaden and enhance youths’ outlook through career guidance and practical work experience; and to improve education and opportunities for young job seekers and entrepreneurs through research and advocacy.

Job Specification: CYEE is recruiting a talented and enthusiastic young Information and Communication Technology trainer. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the position will involve working to design and deliver high quality ICT trainings on computer programs for staff and trainers at selected Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) across the West Bank.  

Roles and Responsibilities
-Assess partners’ current skills and desirable skill levels to help students of VTCs.
-Design course materials and other supporting documents such as handouts, manuals and exercises to help partners deliver the training to their students.
-Deliver trainings based on results of the assessment that might include general computer literacy, social media and effective use of internet to further capacity of VTC graduates.
-Support and coach partners using adults learning technologies to build their skills.
-Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and learning outcomes.
-Travel to Vocational Training Centers across the West Bank.
-Support CYEE’s ICT needs.

Qualification Requirements:

-Bachelor degree in relevant fields, including Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills in Arabic, English language skills is a plus.
-At least two years of practical experience in training on computer programs and IT related topics.
-Being a certified trainer is a strong plus.

LOCATION: Ramallah, Palestine with travel as needed throughout the West Bank.
