Position Location: Ramallah, Palestine

Summary: Creative Associates seeks an Inclusion Advisor for the USAID-funded West Bank and Gaza (WBG) Basic Education Activity, which will strengthen education services for Palestinian children of KG 1 through Grade 6 to enable them to thrive and reach their full developmental potential. Under the Basic Education Activity, USAID seeks to work with the private sector, non-formal, non-governmental, community-based, and civil society partners to strengthen early childhood and primary educational opportunities through high quality early childhood education services and supplemental support structures to strengthen foundational pre-primary and primary education for children in the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem. A particular focus of this work is to ensure improved access for children with disabilities and improved teacher pedagogies for those children. The Inclusion Advisor reports to the Intermediate Result (IR) 1 (Improved cognitive, social and emotional competencies of preschoolers) Lead.

Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise related to disability inclusion across all activities under IR1.
- Collaborate with partners and local Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs) to integrate inputs within project activities.
- Support inclusive education mapping and gap analysis assessments using UDL and behavioral science lens.
- Provide expert guidance on the mapping, analysis, and revision of teaching and learning materials (TLMs) and curriculum to integrate UDL principles, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), higher-order thinking skills, and diverse representation approaches.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to strengthen and align assessment tools and practices to UDL.
- Support the MEL team in tracking and measuring IE learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the production of project deliverables, including annual implementation plans, MEL plan, and quarterly and annual reports.
- Collaborate on renovation designs to improve physical access to KG centers.

Job Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- MA/MS degree from an accredited university in special education, early childhood education, social sciences or relevant field.
- Minimum 7 years prior professional experience in equity, gender, disability, social inclusion, or a related field is required, preferably within the education sector.
- Demonstrated track record of promoting inclusive education for learners with disabilities, including familiarity with best practices and tools to improve learning outcomes for learners with disabilities.
- Experience in curriculum and supplementation material development, and/or instructional development and evaluation in primary schools.
- Experience working in developing and/or humanitarian contexts within the Education sector and an understanding of the local context especially in Area C.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with technical staff, local counterparts, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Minimum four (4) years of work experience West Bank/Gaza.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Fluency in Arabic and working proficiency in English.
- Knowledge in education and research including educational frameworks and policy research is desirable.
- Prior experience working with USAID-funded or other donor-funded activities is preferred.
