Inclusion Officer
YVS is a rapidly growing LNGO in Gaza, we work on Education in Emergencies, MHPSS, FSL, Cash assistance, and WASH throughout Gaza. The Youth Vision Society (YVS) started as a youth-led initiative by people who were passionate about community development and providing hope in Gaza. The organisation began by focusing on youths as the future of Gaza, and while we continue that work, we also focus on wider community resilience and gender transformation across all age groups. YVS emphasises empowering youths, women, and community by fostering independence, responsibility, and commitment, enabling them to realise their potential and positively impact society. We believe that young people have a crucial role in community building, and that the success of our youth is a measure of a thriving society.
As an inclusion officer, you'll aim to promote good relations and practices towards different minority groups specially PWDs, CHH FHH and People with special needs. You may work within community services, supporting people who experience some form of discrimination and delivering diversity workshops to communities, staff and volunteers.
Responsibilities
As an equality, diversity and inclusion officer, you'll need to:
- research, apply and promote diversity initiatives and share best practice
- make sure there are separate lines for PWDS and PWSN, in addition to lines dedicated to children and women.
- promote changes within organization and the wider community
- develop systems for reporting any incidents of discrimination
- liaise with community groups and other relevant organizations, e.g. local committees, local councils and other NGOs.
- raise awareness in Kitchen's surrounding communities and places of distribution
- deal with conflict within the local community or the distribution points.
- interact with people at all levels and from a range of backgrounds
- respond to complaints and provide information on options for complainants.
- present reports and recommendations
- prepare and deliver presentations and workshops to staff, stakeholders and partner organizations.

Qualifications
The NGO often seek candidates with a degree and, although any subject is typically accepted, the following may increase your chances:
- business or management
- community studies or youth studies

- social work
