SOS Children’s Villages Palestine is seeking to recruit an Individual Giving and Communications Officer
for its National Office team in Palestine.

Reports to: Head of Fund Development and Communications
Contract: Full Time/ Unlimited Contract
Position summary
Individual Giving and Communications Officer will pursue opportunities with & fundraise from current and potential individuals of Palestine to fund the relevant programmes, investments and costs of the Member Association.
He/she must position SOS Children’s Villages as a strong partner among potential and existing supporters based
on SOS Children’s Villages roots, vision, mission and values.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1-Develop and plan outreach activities & uses all available media platforms, social media channels, and
media relations to promote the work and impact of SOS Children’s Villages Palestine.
2-Define, implement and fulfil the individual fundraising and communications strategies in collaboration
with the Director of FDC as reflected in the National Strategic Plan
3-Identify, build and maintain networking relations and proactive collaboration with strategic partners,
e.g. community leaders; social networks; celebrities, journalists, media to pursue public engagement
and advocacy opportunities to promote SOS Children villages – Palestine.
4-Produce and write compelling and engaging content across several media outlets including social
media, website, and newsletter that increase engagement and drive fundraising leads. (Excellent
writing and editing skills in Arabic and English.
5-Plan, execute, monitor, analyse and evaluate and improve fundraising campaigns and activities
against defined and agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
6-Plan, execute, monitor, evaluate and analyse all individual fundraising activities according to defined
planning and reporting procedures and against defined and agreed key performance indicators.
7-Strengthen brand awareness, credibility and acceptance with the overall goal to support fundraising
activities.
8-Manage individual targets and activities monthly.

-BA in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, journalist or related field
-Minimum 2 years verified experience in the field of project management/coordination and/or marketing
Knowledge specific to the position:
-Experience in planning, executing and analysing marketing acquisition campaigns
-Knowledge and experience in customer relationship management
-Know-how of various media – traditional (print, TV, radio, outdoors) and new (digital, mobile)
-Agency / corporate communications experience
-Excellent negotiation skills, experience in negotiations and management of business partners
-Self-motivated, determined, innovative, pro-active and with a “can do” mentality, i.e. ability to identify and take advantage of fundraising opportunities
-Excellent oral and written communication skills and social competence
-A strong result-orientation combined with a proven competence in strategic planning, budgeting, analysis and
evaluation
-Able to manage own time and to work under high pressure
-To know and identify with the vision, mission and values of SOS Children’s Villages
Skills (Key technical skills required):
-Fluent Arabic spoken and written. Excellent English writing skills an advantage.
-Good MS Office commands (Word, Power Point, and Excel)
-Feeling for design and layout
-Conveys written information in a well organised, accurate and concise manner that can be easily understood
by others (e.g. target group)
-Experience with negotiations and management of partners and service providers like agencies, list brokers,
printers, etc.
-Good relations with media agencies (advertising, communication, telemarketing, direct marketing)
-Event planning experience
