Overall responsibility:
Under the supervision of the Area Manager, the position holder will be responsible for NRC programme Information Management, with a special focus on the Unified Shelter Sector Database and www.sheltergaza.org.
Qualifications and Experience
All applicants must have excellent English language skills and extensive proven experience of information management
Main Duties:
Responsibilities
-Overall administration of all NRC databases, including development and maintenance, all data inputting and managing security and control measures;
-Coordinate and facilitate the collection of data from relevant sources as required;
-Create a system for producing regular reports/fact sheets reflecting the data entered in databases, and produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports as required;
-Provide ad-hoc reports and data summaries as requested;
-Deliver database training to system users (including external to NRC staff);
-Represent NRC at cluster/sector coordination meetings when required;
-Liaise with Shelter Sector partners and to act as focal point for all information management, including follow-up and collection of data with various agencies;
-Facilitate Shelter Sector training events;
-Support and facilitate short term consultants relating to the Shelter Sector activities;
-At all time exercise due care in all matters of data confidentiality, and not divulge any information or data that has not been approved for release;
-Maintain a user and structure manual for all databases;
-Advice and support NRC management on all technical related issues as requested;
-Performs other related duties as may be assigned by management.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
-Qualified holder of a relevant higher level relevant certification, ideally in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar position,
-Experience with JSP, ASP .NET, and SQL is required
-Experience working for an international organisation;
-Ability to work under pressure, independently, with limited supervision and extra hours;
-Able to work well in a team;
-Excellent command of English and Arabic both written and orally.
Start date:ASAP
Contract period:5 months with possible extension with possible extension
