Job Title: Information Technology Assistant level: SC6 Contract: Service Contract
Location: oPT Office, Jerusalem Office
Under the overall supervision of the Senior ICT Assistant, the IT Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
Accountabilities: Within delegated authority, the IT Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: (These duties are generic and thus not all inclusive nor are all duties carried out by all Field Monitor Assistants)
-Assist in the operation and maintenance of the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems.
-Assist in maintaining all ICT equipment and applications for WFP main office and all sub offices in the country (Either remotely or by on-site visiting).
-Assist in disseminating standard material, such as, computer hardware and/or software, and applications, etc.
-Assist in routine tasks, such as backing up data, monitoring network and systems, servers and peripherals, etc.
-Assist in the installation and maintenance of the communications equipment for wired and wireless networks.
-Assist in installing and maintaining of Logistics Database; Fleet Database.
-Assist all units of WFP regarding their information systems, and database.
-Assisting in the design and the update of WFP Opt website.
-Assist WFP users of technology and systems, such as Word processing, Spreadsheet, Database applications, etc;
-Assist in the operation and maintenance of the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems.
-Following up with WFP ICT suppliers regarding all ICT equipment warranties and maintenance issues.
-Assist WFP users of technology and systems, such as Word processing, Spreadsheet, Database applications, etc;
-Assist in insuring that all ICT issue are compliant with WFP ICT standards, also compliant with MISTS/MOSS standards
-Maintain WFP printers, Faxes, and Digital Senders on daily basis
-Install & maintain of CarLog system for WFP Cars
Qualifications & Experience
-University Degree,preferably in computer or electronic engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
Experience:
-Minimum three years of progressively technical experience in Information Technology or Computer Systems.
-Having experience in a variety of Operating Systems (Windows 2000-2003 server and Windows XP), and Word processing, spreadsheet, database applications (MS Office) (knowledge of Lotus Notes is a plus).
-Having experience in Database design and administration. (such as ORACLE, or SQL server)
-Having experience in Web design; and computer programming languages (such as ASP.NET, or PHP).
Language:-Good working knowledge of English.
