The Educational Centre of TalithaKumi is located in Beit Jala close to Bethlehem. The school provides classes at all educational levels, from first grade to high school level. Students may obtain the Tawjihi and/or the Deutsche InternationaleAbiturprüfung (DIAP). Our complex also includes a kindergarten, a vocational training center preparing trainees for work in the hotel business, a boarding school for girls, as well as a big guest house. Ten kilometers south of Jerusalem, TalithaKumi was built on a small hill and is surrounded by woods. The school gets its name from the Aramaic language and means „Get up, girl!“ (Mark 5:21-24). This word spoken by Jesus has been our mandate and commission ever since the school was founded in 1851. It is the oldest Protestant school on Palestinian territory. TalithaKumi is seeking highly qualified candidates for the following position:

Position Title:Information Technology Manager
Location: Beit Jala
Starting Date: 15th August 2016

Main Objective:

Maintains information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions

Information Technology Manager Job Responsibilities and Duties:

-Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures in order to ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
-Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
-Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
-Check computer hardware (HDD, mousses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
-Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
-Software support to all Talitha Kumi Departments
-Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
-Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
-Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
-Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
-Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
-Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
-Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders etc.
-Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
-Design and install well-functioning computer networks, connections and cabling
-Perform troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network
-Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their own work

Qualifications:
-Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Electric Engineering.
-At least two years of experience for IT certificate’s holders and 5 years of experience for electric engineering certificate’s holders.
-Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment.
-Excellent Arabic and English skills speaking, reading and writing, German is preferable.
